Busy Busy Week!

Instead of hunting for things to do this week, you will be torn trying to decide which way to go.

A quick scan down the action list will tell you the the Festival de Capisterre in St. Paul’s & the Newtown Festival are both kicking off this week. Gon be hard to get to work on time!

On Friday, the Festival De Capisterre has it’s opening ceremony. Saturday is much busier. If you are craving some Small Axe, they will be live at at the Pumkin. In St. Paul’s, the social evening is followed by Jouvert, so pace yourself. If you aren’t going to the country, the Newtown Festival Opening Ceremony or the first round of the 4th Annual Karaoke Competition at Dolce Cabana could be your destination.

Next week is jam packed with daily events for both festivals. The big ticket event is easily the Beenie Man Live Concert next Wednesday! One of the very best Caribbean performers will headline a huge night at Carnival City. On Sunday, the Beach Bash in Dieppe Bay (a very special event to me) is always a good choice.

On a side note, Down South Productions (St. Kitts) Inc. (the publisher of this paper) is bringing you a special event that promises to be a great day at the beach! The 2004 St. Kitts Open Beach Volleyball Championships will be held at Frigate Bay Beach on Saturday 25th. Only 40 teams can register so be sure to do so at Inon’s Beach Bar ASAP to avoid spending the day as a spectator. The winners will get $500, a prize package and the trophy for the year. Registration is only $50 for a 4 person team (with spare). Must be over 18.

Lastly, SAW will no longer be available at RAMs. We apologize for the inconvenience.
